If you know what Summoners War is for mobile im looking for something that can scratch that itch.

Monster collection
Monster building
Monster battling

A game where you take a team of monsters, make them better, and then battle them against other monsters.

There a few that could be like that but really not much on Steam. These are pretty much the ones I know.

Possibly Minimon as well.
Ya, there dont seem to be that many options for a genre thats so popular on consoles. Maybe broaden "monster" to include robots and you get some more possibilities.

I mean, You can't really be alive and not have heard of it but.. Pokemon.. lol. Birthplace of the genre and almost exactly what you described. And I'm not referring to that poor excuse for a pokemon game you can get on your phone. No I'm talking about the real deal you can only get on a nintendo mobile device. Seriously though, if you've only ever played Pokemon on your phone and have the itch that you currently have.. You gotta play some real pokemon. I would suggest starting with the DS titles or older. I think they are much better than the modern 3D titles they are coming out with. Still all of them even the newest ones are incredible experiences in the genre. The older ones are excellent and have aged incredibly well, although some may be turned off by the old school pixel graphics. Thats the only reason I suggest starting with the DS titles. Well worth buying a modern Nintendo handheld for if you dont own one.

Good question otherwise lol.

And sorry if you have played them, the mobile game seemed to eclipse everything and make people believe that was pokemon when there is a much much better time to be had in the real Nintendo handheld titles.

I have been wondering about World of Final Fantasy, I will look into it more.

Also, yes I have heard of Pokemon. I should have specified that I want a game that is more than just a 1v1 battle.

If you're still looking for some here's a few more suggestions. sorry for necroing.

I tried to limit my list since you wanted games that uses a battle system thats more then just 1v1.

If you want an app try monster super league, it's almost exactly the same as summoners war, but it's anime styled.

As far as anything else try these
-digimon world ds games (DS, Dawn, Dusk)
-digimon story cyberslueth or hacker's memory.
-The Shin Megami Tensei series (The ACTUAL birthplace of the monster capture genre)
-The persona series (a spin-off series of shin megami but still pretty good)
- Lastly If you're okay with trying something a little different, try the indie game "Monster Sanctuary." It's a mix of a Monster capture rpg and a metroidvania. Pretty fun.

World of Final Fantasy is a good game with a laughable story. Get it with the maxima dlc for tons of fun with piles of monsters.

Wait. You mean to tell me that if the tag for the genre that I want doesn't exist... I can just post about it on THIS FORUM and there's a guy who will provide relevant links to more items of that genre than I could have ever imagined???
