Games still running after exiting?
How do I solve this, I am an idiot please help. I'm too lazy to just keep restarting steam and hoping it will solve itself

Game could be syncing with Steam and can take a few, or you can go to task manager and close them.

Check the task manager to see what's running. If it's your game, kill it. Maybe report it as a bug to that specific game.

If it's Steam, that's the way it works normally. Unless you change the settings, its default is to continue running until you shut down the machine. I think the rationale is that when you finally come to your senses and decide to start gaming again, you won't have to wait for Steam to start up.

I wish I could tell you where in that labyrinth of menu options the setting is, but I can't find it quickly. If you can't find it, maybe ask and someone will have that answer.
