What is the "Mystery Item"

I have randomly gotten one of these, but I do not know how to use it. There are no wiki entries, no discussions about it (except this now), etc. so I have no way to know what it is or its use. By the way, I got it with 4 new emotes and a new bg ( are emotes).

It says it might be usefull in a future sale, and I personally think it will be the summer sale. It says it is consumable, so you probably use it to get a different item. I think it will be a coupon for either a game of your choice or a game on your wishlist (maybe a random wishlist game). I could be very wrong though.

While the mystery item idea is interesting I can't imagine being impressed with the contents. Just keep my/your expectations low.

This. People love to pass the blame when it comes to hyping things up, but it's usually their own fault for buying into the hype in the first place. Temper your expectations. If it's lame, then you're not let down. If it's awesome, then you're pleasantly surprised.

Best way to (best case) get a good surprise or (worst case) get what U expected.

But honnestly... a reward of a free event... Dont expect better than a wallpaper/emoticon

World of Warcraft had a programmer that created a fishing questline with clues about a legendary weapon that could only be fished up in a pvp zone, Alterac Valley.
