FF14?

Not on steam, but final fantasy tactics was pretty damn great in that aspect as well

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion has over 7 billion classes.

Even better is a game that doesn't have classes at all.

Careful what you ask for. Classless games tend to be a bit of a hodgepodge in quality. Since the challenges will either be difficult ofr pointlessly easy.. It's easy for a game to hgave many classes. But distinct and well designed classes are another story.

Dungeons of Dredmor has about 50 or so, although you combine 3 (or more? it's been a while) at a time to make a build.

No, I'm not looking for classless games.
You've already played tons of the best game - Baldur's Gate. You do know there's a Part 1 don't you ? There's also a pre-sequel - Siege of Dragonspear - but that isn't as highly rated.

Neverwinter Nights 2 (available on GOG) is a good spiritual successor. I however loathed Neverwinter Nights 1 - only two characters in a party and one or two missions apart one of the dullest RPGs I've ever played.

Icewind Dale uses the same engine as BG but the story isn't nearly as good and it's rather derivative.

Heart of Winter is the laziest and least imaginative D&D game I've ever played.

Icewind Dale 2 which reuses many of Icewind Dale's locations is significantly better - albeit still not in the BG standard - but very few games are.

Skyrim has starting classes but you've got huge flexibility thereafter. Flawed but a brilliant game.

Knights of the Old Republic I think is overrated but it does convert Star Wars into a fully fledged FRPG.

Mass Effect is light on class distinctions but is an exceptionally good RPG.

Titanfall definitely has the classes but is the "Desperado" of RPGs - everything is reduced to combat. The animation and monster designs are excellent. Learning that you can teleport to a base and back again without limit solves the otherwise nightmarish problem of your tiny starting inventory, the first major boss is one of the toughest in the game because you are so weak, and the quests feel like you're working for Fed-Ex.

"Please", "Thank you", and some further details of what you're looking for and why might help.

S.x.

Rift has lots of ways to mix-and-match different classes together. I haven't played it in years though, so it might've changed.
