Once my son turns 14 i will let him get a steam account buy them games for his account then remove them from my account as i think they are lame games. Maybe you should thing before you asume.

If it is happening from a lot of different people it might be sensible to consider option 2 is reversed - instead of having a lot of friends infected with malware, it might be the OP that has the malware that makes it seem like they are getting messages from people on their friends list to make them more likely to be clicked.
