Games that import characters

Guys, I'm going to buy the Baldurs Gate series and I wonder if there's any other game where you can import the characters and keep playing with them. Or you can only do this from BG 1 to BG 2.
It would be cool to play with the same characters in all D & D based games.

While you don't import characters or equipment exactly, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series lets you import save from the first game to Second Chapter, then the third chapter lets you import data from second chapter(3rd chapter is not on Steam yet). Which gets you some items, character levels transferring over for when you get them in the next game, and extra dialogue based on what quests you cleared in the first.


The Mass Effect series also lets you do this, but only the first 2 are on Steam, so you'd have to get the 3rd game on Origin if you wanted to continue it.


Not sure about others. It's not exactly a common feature.

Not exactly certain but I imagine you might be able to import a char from neverwinter nights to neverwinter nights 2 and its a somewhat similar game to baldurs gates, perhaps check out those games.

You can import characters from previous games. At times they will even change what they say in a few places, based on your actions in the previous ones.
