Actually, even more error prone. Use a proxy or VPN, have a server in another timezone, ...
Or the error is somewhere on "your" end. The key point is that the banner never specified which timezone, so no one can tell you if it was an honest mistake or the result of wrong information being interpreted the right way.
Though I doubt that it has something to do with the introduction of TRT, as this would not have caused a forward in time. And almost three months should have been enough time to rectify such a mistake.
Sucks? Sure. But with a 6 Years of Service badge, you should know by now that Steam updates 10 am PST. Come hell and high water.
Edit: I might ome across brusque, but if the banner indeed showed 10pm for you, you at least have more reason to complain then all those other people whining about missing the sale, because they waited until 9:59.
Besides I have already done my main shopping earlier days so it's not a big deal for me personally. I was about to buy Teslagrad due to a suggestion (as said, I didn't rush as I've believed that I still have 1 more hour) and noticed the issue by chance in a way. Anyway, thanks for all your responses guys.
