I tried scpToolKit.
The first time I tried it, it worked. Ever since then It doesn't work.
The PC and the software recognize the controller, but the game doesn't respond. and when I press the PS button the lights just flicker (the first time, the only one that worked, only the top left light turned on).

or controller companion in steam store ....another option
easiest option though is xbox controller as it just works (microsoft company)

I tried scpToolKit.
The first time I tried it, it worked. Ever since then It doesn't work.

This means it's not sync'd properly. If you don't already do so, use a USB connection instead of Bluetooth and make sure your PS3 is off. Also make sure your controller is charged.

Controller Companion is not an option, because it only works with with Xinput devices, which the DS3 is not. It's also serves a completely different purpose.

I dont know if the issues fixed but if you go in steam big picture mode (ps4 controller) works with this it works with game ^^ idk about ps3
