Games cheaper in Mexico
I am connected from Mexico, and I've seen REALLY CHEAP prices for some games I'd like to buy... but once logged into my account (US), the prices are ALMOST TWICE the amount than the peso-dollar translation... Why are the games cheaper in Mexico than are in the US?????

Thanks.

Because they are.

Now don't try to get them at those chaeper prices by doing shady things to your account.

So that people other than those that run drug cartels can afford them?

Well, this is the shadiness of the digital information age. The merchant can now automate everything and have computers keep track of pricing. So they can literally charge different people different prices with ease. Amazon does it all the time, or did you notice? It does not even have to be in different countries. You don't know what the next guy is seeing on his screen, for all you know they could be charging you more because you showed interest by adding it to your wishlist. You just don't know. It sucks, I hate it, but it is a sign of the times. THERE IS NO TRANSPARENCY OR FAIRNESS IN PRICING! It has always been this way, but because of technical inovations it has been taken to an extreme.

You meant apart from in private browsing where you could go to the same page without being logged in, or if you think they might track your IP address you could ask someone else to look up the price, etc.

Until we have a one world government that ensures wages and prices are the same across the world it is perfectly reasonable that people in different regions will be charged different prices for the same thing - to illustrate lets take a current example: Owlboy.

If you are in the US it will cost $15. If you are in, say, Thailand it costs ฿275. Currently the exchange rate is around 0.03019, so that would make it seem "unfair" they can buy it for the equivalent of around $8.30

However consider that the median US worker currently earns around $865 per week, and thus earns enough to buy this game in about 40 minutes (assuming 5 days working 40 hours). The median weekly wage is Thailand is somewhere in the region of ฿2000, which means to buy the game costs most of a days wages (about 5.5 hours). So then it seems unfair the median person in Thailand has to work eight times as long as the median American to get the same game. What prices would be "fair" to everyone accounting for these differences?

Regardless of wages and other factors around what your currency is worth in your country...

Publishers set the prices for their games.

Complain/ask them to change it.
