Blue screen when loading up steam (after login)
every time i open steam and then log in before it can load i get a blue screen with a sad face that forces my pc to restart by itself the blue screen says that it ran into a problem and needs to restart. Had this for a few weeks now and is getting irritating because i cannot find a fix.

Blue screen pops up with a sad face in the top left of the screen that looks as if someone has typed it on a keyboard :( and next to that it says your pc ran into an error and needs to restart and collect some data. Also there is a %complete bar and when it gets to 100 which takes less than a minute my pc restarts. This happens every time after i login and steam is about to load.

I've never seen that during a blue screen. And I never seen it have a progress bar while doing so.

Scan for malware in safe mode.

Blue Screen usually gives an error code too. Considering yours doesn't means that its some sort of a malware just to annoy people. One of my friends did something similar to me and he removed it after a few laughs.

:Teddy_talk: The " :( error " appears when your using Windows 10, which Windows version are you using? Home, Pro, 32 or 64 bit.. etc

Add your hardware specs, Intel, AMD cpu, Nvidia/AMD brand or some White-box/White-label, if your computer is branded, what is it? HP, Dell, Apple.. or other stuff would be helpful too, can you connect to your Steam account through a browser or a phone app.. and have you installed a "Enhanced" Steam? Desktop, Laptop, Reconditioned Server, etc..

Add other info you may think is relevant to narrow down this Window Crashing Steam Client bug.

What is your bluescreen code such as 0x000007b or something?
You can find it in the system error log.
(I am not sure if it is right in English , because I use another language.)Click the windows menu with right mouse button, find Computer management, open it and find the system error log , find the last log of a bluescreen, then you can find the code in the detail box blow the window.

0x0000000a
0x0000000A usually is a problem of drive program, try updating or demoting it, which you have installed or updated recently.
