Looking for a game you can freely fly in.
I'm looking for a 3D game (available on steam) that you can fly in, like superman would (meaning really flying, not gliding like batman in the arkham saga, and no aircraft, no vehicle, and no time limit and other limitations - although it's so hard to find a game in which your character can fly around that I would tolerate some limitations). Ten thousand more points if it's an open world game.

Please no "Superman 64" jokes. LOL.

I actually searched for "Superman Returns: The game". I'ts from 2004, but it looks okay and fun to fly around:

Sadly it isn't available on Steam (probably because it was never released for PC).

So, any suggestions?

Turn on no clipping in any Bethesda Game Studios game.
The Lego Marvel/Batman (Wich also has Superman!) games have characters allowing you to fly around.

Wow, just looked at some gameplay. I didn't know new lego games were open world. Will surely check those out!
Thanks!

Not all of them are, i believe the first batman isn't open world but the newer lego games are all open world. They may be a bit childish but they're still good simple fun.

Yes, I've played some of the Lego: Star Wars games back in the day, I thought they were fun and funny, but I thought they got boring after a while. And I had the impression every Lego game was about the same, only with characters from a different franchise.
But an open world game is a completely different story!

They still are the same-ish, destroy stuff to complete puzzles Etc.
assault herison plane game it fun and multiplayer
There's Faery - Legends of Avalon (I think that's the right name/spelling - on mobile right now, hard to search/copy/paste). I didn't play it for very long, couldn't really get into it, but one of the only games I can think of with free flying in 3d.
Dc universe online is only thing i can think of off the top of my head, but it is a mmo.

Can't you get flight as a super power in Saints Row 4 or Gat Outta Hell?

In GooH yes, but it's pretty limited by the number of wing flaps you can do. SR4 is more of a super jump from top of a high building into glide. This is assuming you don't use cheaty mods for infinite wing flaps for GooH.

You can fly in Child of Light, but you don't get to fly at the start of the game.
These may not be what you looking for but there is a Virtual World (For 18+ but i think i heard they made some how also lower age) called Second Life where you can fly

Also in VR i think you can do it in the Plank Exsperment

But do you have anything spasfic abut flying?
