Spam invites by bots?

For the last month I have been getting invites every day from what looks like bots from "gambling" sites for csgo and dota. Anyone else? Its annoying :(

Nope, but your inventory is public, so it is easy for bots to check it and start their scam schemes. I would suggest setting that thing on private or friends only. Afterwards just block communications from any bot account and report them. In time it should stop and not bother you ever again.

Yup, it's more than likely because of an open inventory I have mine open too, but I just block all of the bots that try to add me. Plus it's not as many as it was before the $5 rule was added.

Around 30 each day... If I set my inventory on friends / private, I keep getting invites but alot less.

you sealed your fate by logging into betting/case/skin sites. your name history tells us that you have used them and that is a place where bots scan for users to spam.

the bots have infested users of those sites and used their friends lists and those users friends lists to spam.

I got one and that was yesterday. Everything in my account is set to private and friends only which i dont add here. I came here to get away from life and not invite it into my gaming time

Yup, i've been getting spammed with "gambling groups" with special serial numbers, which got me suspicious, and now they're resorting to sending friend invites to me just to deliver a "advertisement".

I think im going the way with making my inventory private, but this is starting to becoming ridiculous.
