Is it reasonable to give a game a negative review because it doesn't support my language?
Seems lots of Chinese are doing this to some games since Chinese is not supported. So I wonder whether this kind of behaviour could be considered right.
I personally don't like this but it looks like many Chinese think they can give it a negative review since they buy it so they have the right to not recommend it.(although Chinese has been marked unsupoorted)and sorry about my poor English lol.

Not right in my opinion. If the devs don't even claim to have a, in this case chinese, localization, there is no reason to complain about it.

^ Agreed. If it isn't marked in chinese then it shouldn't be complained about, however it should be suggested.

I would put more than just that in the review because then it might be seen as spam also if you worry about likes and dislikes it also helps with likes.

I thought he was using the Chinese as an example, implying his language is something different.

Well. Yes. But the questrion any would ask is. Why buy a game that did not support your language? See that a developer doesn't dub and translate a game into every language under the sun is no crime. Such decisions are based on market size. But they are usually quite upfront about which languages they support and in what manner.

Now if they advertise support and then did not have it. That's a bit more of a substantial grouse. As would be the case if they poorly adapted/implemented your language.

But again. You're free to put whatever reason you want for your negative recommend. Just don't expect anyone to consider your review is help . THis product did not have a feature it did not claim to have. That's kinda like negatively reviewing Logan because it didn't have superman and batman in it.

Maybe. But honestly, instead of complaining about it, why not just learn the world's most common language (which, statistically is Chinese, but that's only because there's so many of them) and be able to just communicate in English?

I did it, millions of other people did, so why shouldn't you? You don't have to be an expert on English literature and linguistics, but a little English can get you a lot further in life.

A little of any language can help you greatly to be honest.

I would say it's not really very fair - if a game never claimed to provide that language than rating it down due to that seems a bit out.

It'd be like reviewing tetris and giving it a bad review because it doesn't support VR.
By all means suggest that localisation would be a good thing but I feel a negative review on something that was never intended to be part of the game is a bit unfair.

However, English-speaking people should also make an effort to learn at least one extra language. 'specially if you go to France, for example. Sure, they can speak English, but they just plain don't want to, and will like you a lot more if you actually try to speak their native tongue.

Let's look at it this way. The complaint is that the game does not include a feature the devs never said it included. It'd be like saying Cities: Skylines is a bad game because it doesn't have a crafting system, or saying that Skyrim is awful because you can't customize the rims on your racecar. Now, if the devs said it included a localization in that language and it either did not include it, or it was poorly done then that's fair enough. But that doesn't seem to be the case here.
The problem isn't so much the irrationality of complaining about a missing feature that was never advertised or promised.
There are organized groups on Steam who act in vigilante manner to further their agenda and try to harm developers. As always Valve is standing aside and does nothing.

This reminds me of an old joke.
What do you call someone who only speaks one language?
American
Little known fact that outside the US, bilingualism is very common in the world
