Does uninstalling a game remove screenshots?
I have some New Vegas screenshots, but have been considering uninstalling the game. Will my screenshots also disappear?

Thank you.
It depends, if they are uploaded to your profile you won't lose them, but if they are left unuploaded then there is a small chance you might lose them.

it still should be in the userdata folder. Click on one of the folders in there and you will see the games appid "438740" where they are saved.

I uninstalled World of Warships (Steam version) and the screenshots are still in the Steam screenshot folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\355805168\760\remote\[game id]\screenshots

[game id] for WoWS is 552990

But it is safer to backup / move your screenshot folder first before un-installing :P

I lost a vast majority of my screenshots when I uninstalled Steam itself. It kept all my uploaded images. A shame really but a valuable lesson. (Yes I went into the userdata folders and only a few games remained.)

When you want to reinstall Steam...

Log out.

Delete everything except the Steam.exe, Steamapps folder. Bonus... userdata folder holds screenshots you haven't uploaded. Save that if you like.

Click on the Steam.exe .

More in depth how to here...
