Safe links?

So ive heard alot about how some people send you links on steam that get you hacked, is there any way around this? or in other words, is there a safe way to open the link?

Just don't open ANY links unless someone you trust with your life (friend, family) sent you them. This is really all the help I can give. Sorry.

Ofc, don't click on random links that random people give you. Look at their level usually they'll be below 5-10. Or a lot will have some fake 3d party csgo site that will scam you in their name.

A good site-advisor with browserprotection addon is
https://www.mywot.com
However WOT is a user based advisor. Results can be a bit paranoid or outdated. On the other hand many adresses are unknown to WOT.

To get a better informed picture :
Check here first to see if it is not a redirect and/or get the propper prefixes (i.e. http or https and a possible www) when a partial adress is given.

Don't click anything that isn't a site you know about. Also pay attention to the links before you click them. Example, they could send a link like: yuotube.com

well search up the domain of the site on google and see if its trusted. got a link for prnt.sc.>searched it up>website to upload pictures and share them>ez no hack

Don't use the browser addon. They were caught selling peoples information.

And to answer your question OP, if it is a phishing link for a "steam" website, look for the valve logo in the url. If it is not there, then it is not the legit website. One more quick tip thats slightly unrelated but whenever you type in personal information or passwords, make sure the url has "https" in it. If not, then the data is sent in cleartext for anyone to see or steal.
