Install Steam Steaming Audio Failed

Hello, I have a Mac Steam Client and using a Backbone One controller. For my Backbone One controller to connect to my mac the mac needs to download a Steam Streaming Audio update. however, each time I dot he installation I get 'The installation failed'. Any support or ideas hear?

You're not alone... Did you have any success since that message? I have the same issue. The install process for Steam Streaming Audio drivers doesn't seem to meet any problem, but when it's done I get that message "The installation failed".

Thanks. I received this response from Steam support today :

At this time we don't have a fix for you. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We are releasing regular feature updates and fixes via the Steam Client beta. Please opt into the Steam beta and to ensure you get the fix as soon as it's implemented.

Is it specifically fixed in the next beta or is it something that’s on the roadmap for a future update someday?
