Goat simulator for mac

How many of you mac users couldn't wait until 12:00 in the afternoon for this game to come out and it be for windows only? I almost beat the crap out of this stupid macbook air. I really hope goat simulator comes out soon for mac and linux.

Well, making games isn't cheap. Same goes for making it for more than 1 OS. Did you know 97% of computers running steam are on Windows? This is the main reason that it is Windows only. BUT DON'T PANIC. There are programs out there like Wine that can run windows programs on a Mac.

Yea but i can't install it on my mac because it is windows only. i tried some free downloads and those don't even work with wine.

The way around that is to use the wine bottle to install the windows version of Steam. You then use the windows version of Steam to launch any windows only games you want to play.

That said, I STRONGLY advise against trying that with Goat Simulator. That game barely even runs on the platforms it was designed for. They kept a lot of strange glitches in the game because it was funny, so the whole thing is sort of held together with string and duct tape JUST to make the game that much more hilarious when everything glitches out to hell. I've heard from more than one person that it just plain doesn't work in a wine bottle.

If you REALLY want to play it, you're going to need to run Boot Camp.

That's actually a myth. It's possible to get a virus on a Mac through Microsoft Works because Microsoft Works for Mac is designed to allow EXECUTABLE CODE to be included in a WORD DOCCUMENT. The only purpose this feature seems to serve is to allow people to stick a trojan horse in word doccuments.

So, possible, but very very unlikely for most users.

it is possible to get a virus. i have avast! and i always download files and it says it has malware or something on it.
i also play tf2 and it says malware. i think it thinks that because the site linked with the server or tf2 using steam. o.o
