Mac OS Catalina
It would be nice to have in the drop down list a choice to be able to choose 64 bit games which will play on Catalina.

Also it would be nice to receive notifications of when existing games will be upgraded so they can be played on my Macbook.

I have enjoyed playing Steam games on my Macbook for a few years, and had not realised that I would loose the ability to play the games I had already bought and not yet played if I upgraded to Catalina until AFTER I had already upgraded.

The main problem is that I can no longer go back to Mojave - whilst there was a facility for mac users to be able to re-install the previous version if they had problems - when Catalina was installed being able to go backwards seamed impossible.

So now I have games, which I can't play any longer and games I have bought which I can't play at all.

There was some discussion that the MMORPG that I was playing (LOTR online) should be compatible - but for the life of me I can't seam to be able to get that to work. I'm a layman when it comes to the technical stuff.

Mac users must be a very small percentage of Steam users for them to not even warrant any discussion of their response to this - other than "DON'T install Catalina", or BUY a windows based pc (like I have the money for that!!) . There has been no publication from Steam (that i've seen) which even mentions whether that's it - there's no intention to find a solution in the near future OR they intend to find a solution, but it's going to take time and we should be patient.

I've also heard nothing about receiving a refund for the purchases I've made that I can no longer play through no deliberate fault of my own, except stupidly expecting that a game provider would adapt and overcome to help their customers continue to enjoy their services.

I would like from this discussion to hopefully receive a response from Steam admin as to what the current situation is - about 6 months down the line as I still can't get the games in my Library to play.

I believe another user has posted about an issue that may not let your suggestion work so well in the library forum...

It is another checkbox game devs need to mark for thier title.

A little thing you can read as well...

Is there a complete list of unsupported steam games?
Any plans to compile them with 64bit?
I'll stay with MacOS 10.14 until this problem is solved.

Ask the developer of the game.
i cant play games)((
You could always install VM Fusion in Catalina, it works, and then install Mohave as a Virtual Machine. I have Catalina and can still run Windows XP Professional so I can play some C&C games. ;)
