MIC not working in STEAM. NEED HELP! macOS Catalina solutions, not MOJAVE

Hi, I have a latest updated Macbook Pro running steam. All software are up-to-date but I'm having problems not getting the mic work for steam and its games like Csgo or Dota. I've checked in system preferences and the internal mic is working fine. However the mic in steam friend during Voice setup and testing doesn't work. I've seen youtube tutorials asking for permission to be given to Steam for microphones under Security and Privacy in System Preferences, but only my discord app appears and not steam. Anyone who can help is really appreciated!

It is a general problem seen after Mojave update. Check here , hope it works.

Please stop spreading the more complex option that requires a reboot.

I'm baffled that this is still an issue over a year later. Why is Steam making us go through this whole rigamarole?
