"(insert game) quit unexpectedly"

Just installed the new steam update and now none of my games can start up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling steam and my games but none of it works. Verfiying the files doesn't help either and when I try to start it, it closes and says "(insert game) quit unexpectedly".

I'm on a early 2015 Macbook Pro

Specs:

Yosemite 10.10.5

Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Same story here. I also have a Macbook Pro, running 10.10.5. Played my games fine this morning, then updated earlier this afternoon and now I get the same message you are getting every time I try to launch a game.

Also it seems that some apps just don't open at all, it just says "running" then after a few seconds, it says "syncing" and goes back

I have the exact same problem, i’m on 10.10.5. Not a single game will launch through steam.

in the same boat here, not one of my games will start. unexpectedly quit error comes up ... its infuriating when it all worked before the steam update.....
