server out of date..updated server still says its out of date..HELP

i updated using steam cmd (update_app 232330 validate) it completes but when i start my server it still says its out of date..

anyone knoe whats goin on?

figured it out....i didnt do the force install command/dir. ...didnt think i had to since it was already installed

Hmm, on my CS:S Steamcmd servers, I've been getting the following message :

Master Server Request : Your server is out of date. Please update and restart.

Map loads & fps reported, VAC enables but then the error message.

I've reinstalled Steamcmd, including the force_install_dir command, app_update 232330 validate...

I'm stumped. Sound familiar to anyone?

Dont hate me, but when you really write it in this post like in the steamcmd than its wrong.
Write: "app_update 232330 validate" ..... When you mean it like that than sorry :D

Lol, sorry, that's my mistake. I have re-installed Steamcmd, successfully updated CS:S (232330), with validation, and a force install command. Still have the Master Server Request error.

did you install it into the same path?

i had an issue where i didnt install it into my old path and it didnt work untill i got the directory correct

I have a Steamcmd folder, inside which is a subfolder (cstrike) that contains the downloaded cstrike app files. The steamcmd.exe, start.bat & srcds.exe (and any server.cfg files) are in the steamcmd folder.

I migrated my servers from the old HLDS to Steampipe & they worked at first, then I got a general 'update your server' message (or 'old version of the game' message when connecting to a server). So I ran app_update (successfully), but now I have the Master Server Request error. I'm probably doing something very obvious wrong, but I can't see what.
