TF2 Server will not update
My TF2 server will not update it says Master Request Restart and You're server is out of date. When I run my HLDS Update Tool it says it's up to date. But it can't be everytime I run my server it says it's outdated. I tried everything. But for some reason it doesn't want to update. I really wanna play on it because I enjoy playing on it with friends.

Here's my update tool config:
c:\HLServer\hldsupdatetool -command update -game tf -dir c:\HLServer -verify_all -retry

I have the same problem too.
you need double quotes around the c:\HLServer so it looks like

"c:\HLServer"
I recall recently that HLDSUpdateTool isn't going to work anymore due to the recent SteamPipe Conversion. The new tool used is srcds.exe from SteamCMD.

I will have aTutorial Up soon, seeing that I got My server to work an Hour ago for people to connect.

Hope you have a tutorial up soon
Tutorials help me better than words.
Just google for SteamCMD, it's the new tool that Valve is using to update steam related content for server hosters
I don't know how to use it
I'd like to keep my server with all it's contents because I have models, plugins, sounds I need
1 - Rename old folder
2 - Install server
3 - Copy back server.cfg and also custom models and plugins
I can see that you have joined my server Nedlm©®™ :)

Don't worry, now that the weekend is about to settle in, I will probably have the time to create a good tutorial...err, maybe a full guide to creating a new TF2 Server using SteamCMD.

Oh, and thanks for joining, seeing that it is relatively new to the public, my new server isn't going to have many people on it until the score for the server goes up. Check back on my Profile for the IP if you wish to return. :)

.....I might place videos on my Youtube account as well to aid in the visuals, but if I do that, it would take longer, for I plan on acting as if I never had a server to begin with, probably going to download an entirely new SRCDS and SteamCMD.
ToDo: Then just delete it all?
Thanks I'd like to return and have some more fun! Here's what I suggest you should add:
1. Giveweapon
2. Homing Rocket
3. Amplifier
They are all fun

Back on topic: I'll mess around with SteamCMD for a while and try to remake the server. I would also need to download 100 MB of the customs I had. I'll return to this discussion daily.
The first thing I am going to do is look at all of the major Valve sites I used to get started, then download both SteamCMD and Srcds (appid 232250 for tf2 server, maybe?). From there I will try to create another TF2 Server, Delete it all, and then do it Again recorded to be placed on my Youtube Channel.

Then, once I get it working, I will, with good time, create a written tutorial or TF2 Guide for the readers out there. Then, if I am feeling REALLY Lucky, I might create a TF2 Wiki Page on this new topic, if anyone else hasn't beaten me to it yet.

Part 1) Downloading SteamCMD and srcds.exe for a TF2 Dedicated Server (for NON-Public server, Public finish will come in later parts)

Ok I fooled around a bit and here's what you do

1. Start All Over
2. Download SteamCMD.exe
3. Type in "login anonymous"
4. Type in "force_install_dir (Whatever you want your server to be)"
5. Type in "app_update 232250"
6. Wait a whole day (For me might be faster for you)
7. Profit
8. Reinstall all your junk

All my junk is scattered soo I can't find it
