HELP - SteamCMD not working
Hi, i've trying to make work this app with no avail. My plan was to host a dedicated server of KF1 but when I try to boot up SteamCMD on the very first step of the instalation, like to have it actually download on my PC and updated, this error pops up:

ILocalize::AddFile() failed to load file "public/steambootstrapper_english.txt".
ILocalize::AddFile() failed to load file "public/steambootstrapper_spanish.txt".

SteamUpdater: Error: Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again.
[ 0%] !!! Fatal Error: Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again.

I have already looked up and down the internet for a solution and nothing seemed to work; I've already changed my DNS, disabled UAC, checked that my Windows User has Admin rights, used a VPN, and so much more. This is genuinely making me so mad and I'm on the last of hope to actually being able to do this :c

Please, help.

hey mate. make sure your Not using a VPN or anything blocking the network like firewall restrictions etc. make sure you have steam running and logged in, that shouldnt matter either way though.

go get a new copy of the steamcmd and drop it on your desktop. maybe your version is out dated. the new version should have the bootstrapper.exe run that. itll give you a new file system then run steamcmd once and quit restart it, have a second execution then try to run your update or w.e etc if it loads and updates successfully.

it is an interesting issue im not sure of but i looked into it a bit starting a fresh copy is where i would say you and i begin. :gordon:

Thank you very much for the offer, brother. And, unfortunately, I have to take you at your word because, having reached the end of my server configuration, I had a problem. It's a KF1 server, but I don't think that's important.

The point is that when I turned it on for the first time, it worked perfectly. But when I turned it off and then turned it on for the second time, I got an error.

It starts with the basic line of code from the .bat, but then it just says:
Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 1250
Steam_SetMinidumpSteamID: Caching Steam ID: 76561198772088204 [API loaded no]

And it doesn't move from there no matter what I try, I'll look for a solution here but if you can answer me, brother, I'd totally appreciate it.

Not sure if your setup is right.
According to this list the appid for a windows killing floor 1 server is 215350 (and not 1250):
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Dedicated_Servers_List
And the Notes suggest that you need to use a different account for downloading/running the server.
Additional link to a documentation from Tripwire: https://wiki.tripwireinteractive.com/index.php?title=Dedicated_Server_(KillingFloor)
They also use appid 215350.

You were right... I scrapped all of it and tried again with a fresh instalation and it worked. What seemed to be the problem is that, in the KillingFloor.ini file of the Server:
Under [url] the Host= parameter was with my IP rather than being just blank. Setting my IP there was causing the error, so I just launched the server without that parameter and went just fine. Thanks everybody for the help, I appreciate it so much. I hope y'all have great days today!! :33
