Server Won't Update (PLEASE HELP)
My Server's Error: "The server you are trying to connect to is running an older version of the game"

My GMOD SRCDS server is not updating.
I'm using the STEAM CMD tool to update with this command line as a batch file:
steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +app_update 4020 validate +quit

I also tried another command line with the specified folder:
steamcmd.exe force_install_dir c:\newserver\ +login anonymous +app_update 4020 validate +quit

Everytime I update it loads in all the update stuff, and even files in my server files change, but it returns the same error that it is running an older version of the game.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Odd, since you're using SteamCMD by the sound of it.

Maybe it's on the client side?:

Try to verify the basegame's GCF? How do the other servers behave for you?

As when I use SteamCMD with the command line, it says: "Redirecting stderr to C:\newserver\logs\stderr.txt"
That file also says: Assert( Assertion Failed: CClientGame::Init: passed own procID as game procID ):user.cpp:321

Followed by, "Connecting anonymously to Steam Public... Logged In OK
Waiting for license... OK"

Then it begins validating and downloading the update files followed by progress in percents. Then it validates and closes SteamCMD.

I don't know what the basegame's GCF factor is, but other servers are working fine.

AND this was in the app_id info log, "15-06-08 16:57:56] UpdatesJob: server changenumber out of sync (AppID #, was #, now: #
[2015-06-08 16:57:57] UpdatesJob: requested 7 access tokens, 0 received, 7 denied

If you could add me and help me with this, I'd appreciate it. You don't have to though.
