Port forwarding for CS:GO server
I have everything running with SteamCMD and my dedicated server is up and running. However, I still cannot have other people join the server which most likely comes from ports needing to be forwarded. Online I have found that the ports that need to be opened are as follows. Are they correct?

-27015 TCP/UDP
-27020 UDP
-27005 UDP
-51840 UDP

When I tried to open these ports my server would still not allow people to join. My questions are, am I properly forwarding these ports and if not how do I properly forward these ports? Finally, do I have the correct server IP address entered?

Here I will describe the process I used to attempt to open the correct ports. I went online using my computer's IP address to connect to my router. I have a netgear router and under the advanced options it has Port Forwarding/Port Triggering. Opening that option brings me to a screen with three options; edit service, delete service, and add custom service. I assumed add custom service is what I needed to do. I opened add custom service and named the service, selected the proper TCP/UPD type, entered the proper ports, and entered what I assumed is the correct server IP address. This is where I think my issue may be. I am not sure what it wants as the server IP address. Does it want the IP address assigned to the server I created? The IP to my computer? Some other IP I am not aware of?

Any help is appreciated and thanks for reading.

Thank you

You need to forward the ports to the ip address the server is running on. You only need to forward udp 27015 for gaming. If you want to use rcon from outside too you also need to forward tcp 27015. No other ports are needed.
Also you need to make sure none of the ports is blocked by any kind of firewall on your router or server.
Does the server appears in the Serverlist? When the Server appears but the player can't join (instant loading screen) check your gamemode_server.cfg
Yes, the server appears for me and I can connect to it but no one else can.

Where do you even open ports?
The router's settings.

Typically you get there by using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.100.1 as the URL to connect to on your web-browser.

Check out the DHCP address from cmd.exe -> ipconfig/all
27015 Is the default port, unless you've changed that.

If you haven't you should portforward 27015 to 27016 or 27050 (just to make sure that they're all open) set the port settings to TCP & UDP, if you can't set both of them, make 2 portforwardings, like 27015 > 27016 TCP & 27015 > 27016 UDP.

Just use some other port (e.g. -port 27016 in startup command).
will this work for csgo?
If anyone is here and is confused, use this link:https://portforward.com/router.htm#H

step 1: Find out what router you have and the what modell you have
step 2: find the router and the modell you have
step 3: select what game you want to port forward (this can be found on the same page)
step 4: create all 3 of the ports and submit each one

others can now join your server... HF!
