The server is not displayed.
I have a created server for Left 4 dead 2, but it does not appear in the menu for selecting online campaigns (Campaigns -> Online play -> Online missions - Campaigns). Based on my experience, I came across servers with different modifications, add-ons and an admin system, from which I concluded that the server was created by someone, and not just created in the lobby with basic functions. However, it is displayed in the list, but mine is not. How is it possible, and is it possible, to configure the server so that it is displayed among others directly in the game?

I made mine via SteamCMD, the L4D2 game files are located in a separate folder, where SteamCMD unpacked the game files using the command "app_update 222860 validate". Separately, in the Steam program folder itself, there are more game files that were installed from the Steam library. Maybe all the server settings need to be done in the original game files installed from the library?

What is this?😅 The guides I used to make the server did not mention this.🤔
Or are we talking about open ports and white static IP? In that case, I have it.

Yesterday, I was still sometimes able to find my server in the list of official games, but when I tried to connect, the message “Connection error. Creating a new lobby” appeared. At the same time, connecting through Steam -> View -> Game servers -> Internet there were no problems, the connection was successful.

a source engine dedicated server file system regardless of the mod will not be displayed online for others to join and play unless your internet service is running off of the global interNAP network. you can create a dedicated server and utilize it locally between users in your living room via LAN cables and certain configurations within the file system, but to get it online it would need to be configured for internet access which by default youd have to reconfigure some files in the file system out of the box it will not just work. utilizing launch parameters for your srcds.exe is the best way to launch a server under an internet protocol and port. you can purchase game servers hosted individually which is like 10 bucks a month via nodecraft or nuclear fallout servers. or you can get a virtual private server for 20 bux a month and have full control with connectivity to the interNAP and be able to run up to 10 individual game servers for any mod, do email web pages game servers pretty much anything you want via remote desktop like i do http://drn0.site.nfoservers.com/hub/drn0/motdpage.php :gordon:

Can you connect to the server via public IP (x.x.x.x:27xxx), not local IP like 192.x.x.x?
