Miscreated Self Hosted Server Steam Randomly Kicks players. Non-OK response: 6 ErrorCode: 12 cause: 5
I am hosting four Miscreated servers from my home on a PC. Lately, I and several of the players have randomly been getting kicked from the server. It has always been the same codes: Steam::OnSteamValidateAuthTicket - Non-OK response: 6, SteamID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (The x's represent the Steam ID) CGameLobby::ValidationError - SteamID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ErrorCode: 12 CGameLobby::KickBySteamID - Adding pending kick - SteamID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, cause: 5 No one seems to have an answer as to why and what these codes mean. The developers of the game say they are steam codes. It seems reasonable that if they are codes set forth by steam, that someone at steam should know what they actually mean. It seems even MORE logical that such codes would be made available to the user so that the user can locate the root cause of these issues to determine if there was a change on the user's host / server, if it is at the user's client end, or if there is an issue with something at the steam server end. This issue has been happening more and more frequently to where I cannot even play the game for more than 5-10 minutes. I have heard guesses from other users and the devs of the game that the codes refer to the player electing to leave the game. That is most certainly NOT the case. At no time did I or the other players elect to leave the game while in the middle of driving a car in game or in the midst of a heated battle with mutants. THAT excuse (reason) is nonsense. I have read other players posting their guesswork that it is a ping error or latency error. Again, that does not seem to be the issue at MY end at least. I have gigabit service and get between 500 and 1000 megabits /second download and 30-40 megabits /second uploads with ping between 3-50ms. I would appreciate assistance with what these error codes mean. It seems reasonable that since Steam designated the error codes, THEY would be the folks to go to for answers, however they were as helpful as using a colander to get a drink of water. They kept referring me to these forums. When I tried to do a search for the error codes, regardless of how general or specific I try to be with the wording, there are close to 8,000 entries to sort through with 97% of them having little to nothing to do with my search query. I and my friends would truly appreciate valid assistance in locating a list of the error codes defined and / or legit definitions of the error codes we are receiving on the server log when randomly kicked from the server.

Я не нашел решения. Теперь это случается не так часто.

+1
Tried reinstalling, removed all mods, reset most settings. It's still happening and ruining the game.

I was having the same issue with players getting kicked from my server. Turned out to be a security feature used by my internet provider. I purchased my own modem and router (to block their security control) and so far it appears to be working, as players are no longer getting kicked from the server.
