The Dark Knight's Batman vs Ironman 1/2/3's Ironman

My wife and I were talking about this last night.

Who do you think would win and how/why? Two rich heros, with nothing but their tech and brains.

I think Ironman. Even if you remove the armor, he is still a genius. Batman paid for his tech to be made. With his armor, he can do far more then Batman can. Only way I could see batman winning is if he had time to get some kind of counter tech made.

I think Iron Man would win purely because of who and what they are fighting.

As a rule, Batman is fighting humans, normally in a non-lethal manner. Iron Man, however, is fighting super-, and meta-humans, and aliens plus he has no qaulms with killing them, or at least injuring them to near the point of death.

So, considering that, plus they are both very reactive(Find a problem and then fix it, not fix it before it becomes a problem), I think if yu had a three round match, comic book style, Iron Man would when first. He would easily outgun, out manuever, and detect Batman. However, second round comes, say a week later, and Batman comes strolling in with a jury-rigged EMP. That puts Iron Man out of the fight that round. But Round 3, Batman tries the same trick, and Iron Man has installed contingency wiring systems, meaning his suit is oly down for a couple of seconds. BLAMO. He wins again.

So, yeah, my vote is on Iron Man.

Most Batman fans dislike the movies. Argued. :)

If they were to actually fight, Batman would just wait in the shadows until Ironman gets bored then goes to party and get drunk. Then he would sneak down and knock Ironman out, since he has that moral code, he doesn't kill Ironman. Then Ironman tries to drunk text some chick, but instead accidentally activates a weapon that kills Batman.

it definitely depends on the circumstances. sure, iron man has an advantage in firepower, but i really believe that tony stark is not a tactician. Bruce wayne, on the other hand, killed superman in Legends of the Dark Knight, and i think, with a little planning, he could beat iron man too.

So, if it's a spur of the moment fight: IRON MAN

If both have time to plan: BATMAN

I'm thinking of the movie batman and ironman I listed, so I can't consider anything from the comics or other batman/ironman series. I think that would over complicate it, plus there are a lot of people who have never even seen all the other batmans.
