IMHO... Video games are part of our culture, statistically a great part of youth culture where reality sucks and virtual reality rules. Blame the previous generations? Maybe. At what point will this virtual reality cease to pacify, and reality becomes important? Don't know. For someone to step up and ask the question, possibly indicates there may be a problem. With them personally, or with the culture as a whole. To me, video games is about mastery. Being the best player in a MMORPG or just having the ability to complete a single-player game in record time, record fashion. So my answer to the question, "...because it certainly isnt sitting here playing video games..." is,actually, yes, games of all types are a PART of the meaning of life because they help us (and others) become aware of what we are good at, and what we enjoy.

Also you are allowed to laugh as i am such a deepdiver and thought alot of it, beleive that.

I almost always need a reason to things been said, so up til ca: 10 years ago i most often end
up at same answer and when ironed out a reason WHY I belive in it, finally pushed the button
"Done".
Now, the reason include an explanation of some kinda "cycle" maybe oldfashioned, but down to earth and close to nature, but to Not kill you with boredom more than i do atm, ill skip that
