EA is a greedy, destructive cancer on the gaming industry.
As for Deadspace 3, does it really matter? Most the DLC I have seen is pointless and any that are worth getting were alredy real money only.
They did pull the only ace up their sleave that they have though, with the great game guarantee. If you read the fine print, you will see it isn't as good as some think and how it wouldn't translate well to another store, especialy one that sells and promote other deverlopers games as opposed to 99% of the games being theirs.
I hear what your saying, I know it's only DLC for the game and hardly the end of the world, but why does this change entitlement to what I paid for in the initial purcahse?. Having played a few hours it's not that easy to take when features are strangely/conveniently disabled and there is no choice other than to spend real cash to get the weapons you want/need when this feature was once free with no explination or support from EA.
EA have gotten better and the companies they shut down where in the past. I'm sure people will bring up Westwood and Bullfrog but that was like over a decade ago. Other companies do the same thing when things doesn't go too well for them.
Another thing too. EA doesn't "Patch" games. They Publish them. They give Developers money to keep their company up and running. Unless we're talking about a game developed by an EA Studio where it says EA in their name.
So haters need to get updated on that part.
As for the Avatar with scumbag EA. I read about "Destroyed used game market". This is most likely on console with online pass but I think EA wasn't the first. You actually need to put the hate on Gamestop for that though. They didn't want to share any of the profits and companies had to find ways to make money.
If we're talking about PC gaming then it's even a bigger laugh. Used game sales died the moment Cd keys was invented. Been dead ever since.
The biggest laugh is calling the whole Humble Indie Bundle a business move and basically calling them greedy for it. When they donated everything to charity.
So when Steam have a huge sale it's awesome and it doesn't matter how old the games are but when EA does it's greedy as hell and they are not in any way good.
The hate is just spewing out from this thread.
Try another company like.
Activision.
Never reduces the price on the game unless it's half a decade old.
$15 DLC for 3-4 maps.
$60 base price for game
If they can farm something they will. When that ends they will close the studio. Guitar Hero or it was Rock Band. They closed the studio the moment they didn't earn much.
GearBox
Release a ton of DLC. $120+ in total for Borderlands 2.
Screwed up Aliens and Duke Nukem. Royally too.
Like really, how do you screw up those two games? :/
Massive false advertising on the Alien game too. Boy did they false advertise that game.
Capcom
Release the same game over and over with a new title. Super/Ultra/UltraSuper Streetfighter 4
Have locked DLC on Disk. Happened several times.
A Ton of DLC for the game.
There are so many more bad companies at the moment than EA.
But the amount of hate you have for EA means that nothing they do will ever change your mind. They could literally make the best game in the world and you'd still bring up old stuff and whine about how evil they are.
Ok back to topic: EA has done some bad, but hey, they have done a good bit of good as well, I'm not the type of person to hate for a long time, you make a good game and I play it forever, make a bad game, and I come back to it sometimes, (And now I'm noy making any sense, am I? ) Anyways, I can look pass some of the serwer ups like C&C4 TT Yeah, I might back and edit this later to make more sense. XD
Games that where supposed to be new and innovative like Spore ended up being broken crap because if it's not this years refresh of Madden or the rest of the sports games EA doesn't care.
I agree. EA at least is trying to improve their image, although they got a long way to gain the trust of gamers again. Capcom are the worst, I say worse than EA. Activision is jus as bad. Gearbox are horrible, their only good games are Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and that's it.
EA tend to be worse for example they were charging more for BF3 in the UK than the US although some companies do tend to have horrible pricing, I tend to wait until they go on a 75% or more sale
Edit Sims 4 costs £55 or £45 both overpriced to hell
