Weird laws - Are you breaking them?
All of these are true laws. Honestly.

In Ohio, it is illegal to get a fish drunk
In Florida, unmarried women who parachute on a Sunday could be jailed
In France, it is illegal to name a pig Napoleon
In Milan, it is a legal requirement to smile at all times, except funerals or hospital visits
In the UK, it is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament
In Switzerland, a man may not relieve himself standing up after 10pm

So basically, If you go around to different countries with a drunk fish and a pig named Napoleon. And you only pee after 10pm while frowning and then die in the houses of parliament. You are a wanted multi-national criminal.

Well, I can understand it being illegal naming a pig Napoleon (I mean he IS France's greatest genreal and hero) but not the rest. For example, I didn't know we Brits had a law agaisnt dieing in the Houses of Parliament. I mean, just when the hell did we pass a law like THAT?!
Where can you read more laws like this? It's hilarious. :-D
I think Kansas has a law like that. Something along the lines of "You must tie your mode of transportaion up to a hitching post when un-attended.". So people would need to tie their car to a post or get a ticket.
In India it's illegal to protest against the Government and it's wrong doings, beat that!

Many countries do that already. It isn't a weird law either. Un-ethical, yes, but not weird.
In Montreal it is illegal to drag a dead horse down mainstreet on a sunday
It used to be illegal to put tomatoes in your clam chowder in Massachusetts.

Among other things, The Strange Laws of Old England[news.bbc.co.uk] by Nigel Cawthorne.
In the UK:
No cows may be driven down the roadway between 10 AM and 7 PM unless there is prior approval from the Commissioner of Police.
Since 1313, MPs are not allowed to don armor in Parliament.
All English males over the age 14 are to carry out 2 or so hours of longbow practice a week supervised by the local clergy.
London Hackney Carriages (taxis/cabs) must carry a bale of hay and a sack of oats.
I copied + pasted these from dumblaws.com
I have a feeling nobody pays any attention to these laws anymore, or there'd be a lot more crime than there already is xD

Why isn't this enforced? It sounds like fun! :)
It would get my brother out of the house so I'd actually get some peace. The only reason it isn't enforced is to spite me xD

In Switzerland it is also a requierment to keep your military rifle at home after service. The current type is some kind of Sig Sauer; that is why Switzerland has the lowest criminal rates in Europe, maybe even the world.
there are too many contributing factors to conclusively be able to say "that is why Switzerland has the lowest criminal rates in Europe" as you have just done. There is an enormous amount of societal characteristics that lead to crime rates, and to blame it solely on whether or not they have guns is ridiculous and idiotic, although that type of argument is becoming frustratingly popular.
You also failed to mention the they have the highest rates of gun suicide in the world, so i see that you're excluding crucial information to make your argument seem better.

over simplifying complex issues like this creates too many idealogues who will only ever have one point of view, regardless of how much evidence conflicts with what they believe.

That's the funny thing about switzerland, as soon as they got independent around sometime in the 1000's, There's a reason why noone dares to attack them.

Not even The Luftwaffe OR the Old Guard dared to tread swedish soil.

Back on subject,

In Liberty, A Policeman May be Severely Demoted if he Doesn't watch a certain Highway for hours on end... Usually 8-10 hours.

Also, Stating your opinion Will get you banned from the schools as it is against the law.

Not Looking at South Carolina History with pride will get you shunned from your community and maybe challenged as a spy from a Different Country

And Best for last: If you show your grades on a report card, you must pay a fine of a thousand or so dollars

And People ask why I hate this damned State.
