This tower defense game really sets itself apart for these 3 reasons:
-It's affordable and worth the money:
Hoping for $12.99 on the steam version, more than 20 areas, 100 levels, 100's of waves- and did I mention there's a level editor?
-It's 3D and the graphics are amazing:
We're using Unity3D to make the game and Cinema 4D Release 14, so these graphics might blow up your computer if you don't have a good graphics card- they're modeled after the real-world. And the 3D feels immense, partially since you can easily see your battlefield and city from almost every angle. Includes cinematic lighting and epic explosions. And for people with not-as-great computers, the graphics and animation can be changed and automatically set with your computer to get the best performance possible. You can't beat 60FPS for any game.
-Incredible In-game features:
Besides the revolutionary level editor compatible with hammer, the game changes depending on what happens. If a catapult sets off an explosion, and is hits a natural object in the way, you can build there. If it doesn't rain for a while (yes, dynamic realism weather) then the land will dry up and things catch fire more easily. There are also Geographic changes in weather and a day/night cycle for added realism. Not to mention a professional season-changing cycle, enemy AI, 2-sided battling (pick your side to the fight), and MUCH MUCH MORE.
It's a huge, huge project, but if it succeeds then the steam community is going to love it.
