Why aren't guys romantic anymore?

I'm sure there are many guys who ARE romantic, and in turn there are many women who AREN'T romantic.

I don't think it's fair to group the whole male side of the world because of a few circumstances you've been under.

Besides, not everyone is into full "Romance" and different people have different levels of romance that they are comfortable giving and receiving.

Surprises... as in... when you first date somebody all they're trying to do is impress you... it's sweet and nice and wonderful... then the moment they get you they just... become mean... they don't try anymore... what happened to trying?

I'll be honest, I really like it when a girl tries to impress me for a change. My ex used to actually be noticeably nervous when we were first going out because she really wanted me to like her. It was surreal to me.

If we're going to generalize, why can't some girls be a little less "me, me, me" nowadays. Guys like to feel special too, ya know! ;-]

Depends on your idea of romance.

If it is the TV/Story book kind, you will see verry little of it, if any.

Maybe your idea of romance is the problem. My wife said it is romantic for her just sitting down and watching a movie while we cuddle. Around our anniversary she just wants to go see a movie and have dinner at a nice place.

People don't read minds, unfortunetly. You have to talk about things and let eachother know how you feel.

The two things required for any kind of relationship (good or bad, friends or family, ect.) is trust and comunication. Without them, there is not reationship.

Let me ask you this are you romantic to the guys once you get with them? You can't expect them to just be romantic to you if you aren't back

My theory of this is that nearly everyone wears masks for about 6 months (or less)... showing only his/her good side. Romance is usually at its peak during that time. Therefore when it levels off lower, most mistake that for disappearing, although it is still there, and may have altered to that which you no longer consider romance. This period is the time to make sure communication lines have not been silenced, and romance is subjective to every person. What I find romantic may just be considered silly and mundane for another.

Although, I must admit I stumbled upon the most romantic being that I have ever encountered! He has the most gorgeous mind and my mind meshes radiantly with his! <3
