When's it been done? Whens' something actually had an always-on DRM before? I know start-up online games can be changed, but this one requires a constant active link. Nothing actually saves on your computer in SimCity. Everything is done through their servers. Everything.
Agreed.
The online component is supposedly so that simulations can be run such that different regions rae in check with eachother. Given that SIm is a simulation game, a core componet not being simulated could be as much as a deal breaker as Diablo3 with no loot.
Again it's hard to tell since the game isn't out yet. The only reason I'm not buying it is because I have a backlog of games the size of a small country. And the pre-order bonuses arent' compelling enough. I'll wait till I hvae more time to dive into the game since if it's any good I'll be spending way too much time in there.
Unfortunately in this case, some of the simulation data is handled by EA's servers. Much more difficult than say... Assassin's Creed.
By the By... I have it pre-ordered. Do want.
Is there a link to the stream? I'd love to see it.
Sort of like the retail version, then. ;)
