Guild Wars 2 worth it?

Throughout the years, I've palyed many MMO's and what not, but I've been seeing a lot of raves about Guild Wars 2. Someone please explain to me their experience about the game and rather or not if its worth buying? Or would I be better off playing a ftp (free to play) mmo?

I played GW2 for aaaaaaaages. I found it lacking in balance. Like, uh. It's cool to level. You'll really enjoy levelling but when you've finished it turns into this insanely dull grind fest. You do dailies each day and I just burned out really quickly. The PvP was good but not as sharp as other games and the PvE content/general raiding scene was something they openly didn't want to concentrate on. They've tickled at it, but again it is very limited!

Loads of people will say it is the best glittery MMO of prettiness that is going and that might be true! It is a beautiful game.

They focus on PvP balancing and this has resulted in some classes taking little hits in the PvE department. AKA, you bring little to the group or you might struggle doing things yourself, by yourself, unless grouped or geared.

It is, however, a game I think everyone should experience if you are into MMOs. It is at the end of the day free. Once you buy the disk, you don't need to buy anything else. In that sense, you'll get a hefty playtime out of it compared to, say, other games.

In short? I'd buy it. Yep.

ive played it it is very disappointing im a veteran of final fantasy 11 and world of warcraft burning cursade and matrix online

i personally am waiting on elder scrolls online, be careful and goodluck

It's alright, couldn't hold me like wow though.
The dungeons were just god awful.

If your looking for a mmo Neverwinter seems decent, dungeons in that are pretty bad aswell though :(

Nope. I played the first Guild Wars for thousands of hours. Just like me, my guildies also grew tired of GW2 pretty quickly and quit after just a few months. It's very painful because we were all looking forward to it so much.

I have guild wars 2 and a 80 lvl acc (:!! It was worth the 60 bux not like wow that you need to pay every month.. The graphics were good, Gameplay GOOD, PVP meh...Story is very good and its long!

SWTOR and WoW has better graphics. by the way there is a GTX Titan roaming inside my PC.

A game doesn't get more casual than this.
Openworld is mostley just run around clickin autto attack on eveything while in a big zerk squad

- 7 Dungeons.

- 7 Raids.

- 7 Strike missions.

- 10 Dragon respond missions.

-13 world bosses.

- Many Fractals but only tier 4 bein played for dailys.

PvP gives you a bad experience and here is why

Team queue gets matched against solo queue. That just bad

You can only play 2 friends together in ranked 5 vs 5 and than you stuck to get random players therest.

2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 both you need a premade team else you will have really low win rate thanks to allthe bots.

Automated Tournaments almost none do that thanks to the long Queue Time + hackers usinteleport and fly hacks.

Bots eveywhere or players bein afk in the match farmin gold for doin nothing.

nothing bein updated.. Achievement, Rewards , Maps ..Forever long balance patches, Nothing really bein done 2 new maps or whatever in 5 vs 5 is all we gotton in like 5 years else u stuck doin the same maps for 9 years.

The game also suffers from alot of other problems like -

Bad game engine on new 4000€ PC u still have like 11 FPS when you go into a squad whit alot of players. Lack of direction for the game the company does something new and than they abandon the old content they did and it just back empty no 1 playin it cuz it does not get updated.

World versus World is empty most the time and u just run around from the same camp to camp in infinity and you get really tired of that gamemode real quick.

Guild wars 2 in 2021 is not worth it.
