Anyone have some Horror movie recommendations?
I've already seen...

Attachment (2023)
What Keeps you Alive (2018)
Midsommar (2019)
Truth or Dare (2018)
Polaroid (2019)
Smile (2022)
Smile 2 (2024)
Color out of Space (2019)
Await Further Instructions (2018)
The Owners (2020)
Kill List (2011)
Oculus (2013)
I am the Pretty thing that Live in the House (2016)
The Babysitter (2017)
The Breach (2020)
The Empty Man (2020)
Creep (2014)
I Trapped the Devil (2019)

I know Creep and The Babysitter have sequels, but I haven't seen them yet. Anyone know of any other good horror movies? It's ok if they're more of a dark comedy like The Babysitter or more sci-fi leaning or supernatural, I like all kinds of horror in a variety of flavors. :)

If comedy is also fine, Braindead (1992) is pretty amusing.

And Cabin in the Woods (2011) is a good joke too.

Poltergeist (1982) is pretty gud.

i am always interested in suggesting horror films as i pretty much consume vastly only horror media and art. the ones i am suggesting are not all in english, are from the 80s-2020s, and are from a wide variety of genres. monsters, killers, psychological, comedy horror, scifi, supernatural, spirits, eldritch abominations etc.

- fright night (original, remake is also okay)
- suspiria (remake is also very good)
- the fly (1986 version)
- john carpenters the thing
- little shop of horrors
- event horizon
- the shining
- dagon
- they live
- reanimator
- eraserhead
- jacobs ladder (original, not remake)
- candyman (original, but reboot is also good)
- audition
- funny games (original, not american remake)
- ringu (original, not american remake)
- ju-on 1 and 2 (originals, not american remakes)
- cronos
- the devils backbone
- tremors
- ichi the killer
- cube
- the blair witch project (original, not reboot)
- uzumaki (also called spiral, not to be confused with saw film)
- twin peaks fire walk with me (watch tv series first)
- 28 days later
- three and the sequel three extremes
- the descent
- let the right one in (original, american remake is okay)
- rec 1 and 2 (american remake quarantine is okay)
- slither
- the house of the devil
- el orfanto
- we are what we are (original, not american remake)
- a tale of two sisters
- hereditary
- it follows
- cabin in the woods
- climax
- the antichrist
- green room
- eden lake
- raw

event horizon is a must for scifi horror.
all of Hellraisers because i always loved Clive Barkers novella.
on the more cheesy side, the Terrifier is a must just for the low budget feeling of it.
Coppola's Dracula because it's a classic for me.

but i also like low budget indie productions, like the ones presented in Dread Central or Horror Central, small movies like 10-20 minutes tops.

Thx for the huge list! There are lot I haven't seen. Some of them I have though like Evil Dead, Train to Busan, The Shining, The Thing. Suspiria and Saint Maud where too slow/boring and I couldn't finish them. I keep trying to watch Suspiria though bc I keep seeing it recommended. I think I've tried like 3 times and just can't, lol.

Oh I forgot about this one. I seem to recall reading that the 2nd one is better than the first? I haven't seen either.

Yeah, I like Event Horizon a lot and the 1st Hellraiser. There is a Hellraiser remake right? I forgot about that until you mentioned it.

I'm a big fan of the V/H/S series. It's got a bump in popularity in the recent years which is nice. Not everyone's cup of tea though which is understandable given that it's found footage (a lot of people are not a fan of shaky cam because it makes them nauseous) and pretty gory. In my opinion, V/H/S/94 might be the best of the lot but a lot of people like 2.
If you want a slow horror and more psychological found footage I'd recommend Lake Mungo. Cloverfield if you like big monsters.

agreed. after vhs viral (which i am considering to be the worst of the series personally, only story i liked was the satanic alternate world one), i was not having high hopes for more.

but the following entries have been great, the series has really found many impressive short horror story directors. definitely great horror anthology series!

Yeah Viral was rough with that cgi lol but that short was cool. It's probably the only reason I say to watch it.
