I rarely play multiplayer games now because of it. PUBG really highlighted the problem. Seeing flying boats/cars was where it ended for me(and being aim botted from them). And other games like Rust I just can't play seriously(especially being a solo player)knowing cheats like esp are around.

Tarkov is similar and I would only play single player now. When cheaters play those types of games they just make it pointless to play because you reach a stage where you can't get any further. The rare items gatekeep your progress, and are always taken by esp cheaters.

So I don't really play anything multiplayer anymore. And if I see any game with online pvp only, it's a hard pass.

Yeah, the advantage a cheater has in a game like a BR is unreal. That said, I loved early PUBG. It just sucks so many cheaters rushed in to get in the action while Blue Hole let streamers cheat in order to promote their game.

What do you think of YT clips like this where Shroud always seems to know where people are and makes insane distance HS?

I used to get accused of cheating particularly in CSGO for the most basic of things like prefire, spam shooting through smokes, pushing through enemies or own team smokes, or generally just not being a predictable player. It is hilarious.
You just listed how a cheater is identified according to OP.
It's almost like "u are not playing how I want u to play! U are definitely cheating!" Lol. Ywah I've been accused of cheating ever since playing csgo, and I wasn't even that good.

i am having over 8k hours in dead by daylight. wait, dont stop reading! i understand, its one of THOSE games with some of most miserable players you will ever see. but how about cheating? does it exist in dead by daylight?

if you listened to your opponents in the end game chat, then yes. cheating happens every single game. survivors are using hacks that are giving them "subtle" 2% speed hacks that are allowing them to always escape. killers are using "subtle" 10% bloodlust hacks that allow them to gain it faster. are they really? no, not really.

what is the truth? the truth is that dead by daylight is a 9 year old game, that held together by tape and string. its code is being old spaghetti, and new (game breaking) bugs are introduced almost every single update. mechanics (such as bloodlust and run/vault speed, and animation vacuuming) are extremely wonky and inconsistent, and sometimes do not activate even if you are being in line of sight. why? because the game is poorly coded. because perks and abilities are often broken, not activating to their full potential or gaining stacks and such. or just not working at all!

so cheating is not existing in dbd at all? i didnt say that! it exists. but its rare and cheaters are often VERY obvious. they will be doing things like running at super speeds, flying around in the sky, or running out of bounds of maps. disturbingly however, there are even being cheats that can affect other players, such as forcing them to do certain things that makes it seem as though THEY are cheating. this sucks, but is thankfully very rare.

will i ever quit dbd? well, probably one day. but never because of cheating. ive never quit a game because of cheaters personally, i am not seeing the point. why would i letting them spoil my fun? i wouldnt, ill just keep playing. most games overall wont have cheaters, and thats enough for me personally. if theres a cheater, just report (or ignore it) and move on. i love dead by daylight. its a fun, silly game with a lot of laughs. despite it being a buggy mess, i am still enjoying myself much after all these years, so why quit?

I never played Dead by Daylight but my experience with other online games is similar in that I never quit a game specifically because of cheaters. It was either that I grew bored or it and moved on to something else, or the game itself stopped working for some unforeseen reason (like the servers shutting down).

I can't say about other players and what's legit and what's not. But after seeing mass cheating in PUBG it stains other games and leaves you suspicious.

It's like Prince Harry who had his phone hacked(saw it on the news last night). It's all well and good to pay him off and act like everything is finished. Some might even say he's lucky to get so much money. But I can't imagine him being very trusting of phones ever again, so that's also what was stolen from him.

Used to care, play "mind games", etc. Right now I just shrug, close the game and play another one.
