Is weed less unhealthy than alcohol?

Alcohol is infinitely more dangerous than weed. Alcohol kills tens of millions every year and there isn't even any robust evidence that cannabis causes serious respiratory illness.

Cannabis isn't addictive, you can become mentally dependent on it but it has no physical addiction like other drugs.

Actually, that opinion is based on a flawed study, with rats and cocaine.

Here's a research paper that actually found that environmental factors are much more influential as to whether cannabis users go on to try harder drugs.

"A possible gateway drug" is different from "IS a gateway drug". And it isn't really meaningful. Yes it's possible, it's also possible that I win the lottery because the wind just happened to blow a winning ticket into my face. Maybe cigarettes are a possible gateway drug too. Or alcohol. Pretty sure most people have used those before using weed.

They're not even comparable. In most top 20 lists that rank the most dangerous drugs, both in terms of toxicity and the wider social harm they cause, alcohol ranks at around number 5, while cannabis often doesn't even make it on the list.

I tried some of that hydroponically grown stuff back in the mid 90's and it scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me the whole time I was high.

My understanding is that today's marijuana makes 90's stuff look like you aren't smoking anything.

So glad I stopped doing both before I learned the hard way.

That said, if someone asked me which I would do if I still did both I would probably say weed over alcohol.

As long as you aren't driving anywhere I could care less either of which you do to be honest. It is your life.

Just make sure you are getting your stash from someone you trust like I did. That hydroponic weed I got wasn't and I nearly paid the price for it.

Hydroponics is just a method of growing plants using water rather than soil. it has no effect on the potency of the grow.
