Lol, anyone that thinks UK is bad clearly hasn't been honest in assessing other countries.

Sure we have our issues, not least of which piss poor governance at the moment, but that still doesn't even begin to get you around the bottom reaches of the Freedom Index.

Go look at those countries and then we'll talk.
Do you know any European country where you get stabbed during the day?

But the UK isn't the worst country. You're not just woke if you think so, you're factually wrong. Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and Somalia are the worst in the world.
Yes dude, even Detroit is a good city if we compare it to places where there is a war. What kind of silly examples are you posting?

No do you know any European country where you can get stabbed during the day? Or are you receycling US right wing talking points and not actual evidence?

Because yes, there IS an issue with knife crime in small areas in certain cities.

But what you should perhaps ask is WHY.

And here it is. For a start I never said we were perfect. Second, we had an issue back in the 1990s where guns were getting a bit of an issue and shottings especially amongst drug realted incidents was getting to be out of hand.

So we banned them effectively. We made it so the penatlies would be so harsh it wouldn't be worth carrying them, and we gave a limited time amnesty for people to hand them in. It was pretty successful.

The obvious downside is that dummies will EXPECT it to be a total solution. Reality doesn't work like that, but it WAS a success as it stopped gun crime, but knife crime has grown.

But here's the kicker, though knife crime is a problem is small pockets, if you can't see how much harder it is to hurt a load of people with a knife versus a gun (which is a ranged wepaon), then you're either being dumb or dishonest.

So sorry, but that's why we have it, no it's not ideal but it isn't the massive issue you think. Again what part of me not locking doors at night don't you get?

They are just edgelords...... Drop them off in DPRK, or the many other real oppressive countries, and they'll soon cry for the comforts and liberties of the 1st world country that they were lucky enough to be born in.

I don't understand alot of young people myself, they got everything in the UK. It's down to them to make something of their own lives. They claim life is bad in the UK while ignoring how life is really life in countries such as north korea, many nations in africa and south and central america.

We have millions of people trying to flee the 3rd world to come to europe, and I can only guess thousands of them drown in the sea trying to get here.

Suppose to be nice down there. I say down there because I live in greater manchester which is basically a crap hole of place to live. We have some nice places too up here tho, but we have many social issues and problems here due to race, cultural, youth and poverty.

I used to live in Salford and I understand that sentiments. It's grim ain't it, as the saying goes?

But I loved it because I was doing audio enginerring during the height of Madchester and got to experience a lot of cool things.

But it is nice down here - or at least it doesn't rain ALL the time. It's boring and flat but has it's benefits.

Salford itself is not the best place to live but Salford Quays is a nice place to visit, eat and shop.

Finland. If I see someone standing alone I assume they are drunk. Never underestimate a drunken Finn, you don't know what is inside those pockets. Finland is like England now that I think about it in that sense.

To be fair, it's much like in the US with basement dweeling incels for example. They have NO idea about the world outside their little walls. Not even their own community let alone their country or outside it.

Travel is the best way to change one's perspective on anything.

I've been lucky in that I've gone to a fair amount of diverse countries around the world and it helped me immeasurably, especially when I was younger.

Compared to places like the US, here in England the apparent threat of someone isn't what they have in their pocket. It's what they can do to you UNARMED.

That's the difference.
