Well, you live in a world where the CIA and NSA can read (or listen to) any private communication, not only in American territory. That's nothing new, and like I said only criminals fear the CIA and NSA.
They can take pictures, they can do anything with this stuff.

Anyway, that's an entirely different issue, one that has always existed whether the government spies on your private chat or not.
Governments never act like buddies to huge corporations and allow them information they shouldn't.
Journalists who report on corrupt officials are the same as criminals who distribute CSAM. Just trust the feds bro.
