Lately?
No
It started to change around 2012 and became woke
I hardly make use of the site anymore.
Content quality just kept dropping, so I just quit watching.
They pretty much got tired of hearing people, asking to change front recommendation page, because they rarely update it.
They are not about videos, but more about revenue. It should be youmemoney, not ytoube. Nothing about it is good tube, as good ones are all buried. You gotta know good one to actually go there manually, otherwise you never will see the good videos.
They push the shorts HARD (because they are addictive) and the heavy reliance on the algorithm has completely sucked out the soul of the platform.
Also the search function is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage. Hilarious how a massive site owned by a massive company, one that literally made their fortune through a search engine, can't manage to make a good search function. When you search, maybe 1/3 of the results are even related to what you searched while the rest are "Viewers also watched" and "You may also like" bullsh*t.
thats when they decided to be cable tv... They got all the tv stuff and started promoting it. And protecting those tv channels from getting strikes and stuff.
