What is your opinion on Anti-natalism?

That is, the Idea of being against people Reproducing/Having children, and that bringing people into the World is a bad Thing, for one reason or another. What do you think of it or People who ascribe to this View?

Personally, I have a Mixed opinion. I can understand where they're Coming from, but Personally in the end I think it's someone Choice to have kids. I don't know...I know some people are Unhappy in the world, but personally I am happy to Experience life one way or another, for the Good or Bad things. I don't know if I plan on having Children though, at least not Yet.

Let me know your thoughts.

No, and please don't make this about it! As I said in the post, it's not about fetuses/unborn children, but the idea of not even conceiving to begin with. As far as I Know, anti-natalists Don't want to have Children at all, for one reason or another. Common reasons are that they think Life is very cruel and inevitably results in suffering, and that someone cannot consent to being Born.

i mean, there's some element of truth to that, since the world IS a screwed up place.
but i do think it should be a person's choice regardless.

No Problem. That's how I feel too. I'm not sure if I want to have kids but maybe one day I Will, I do want them to have a good Life but I know that sometimes bad things happen out of our control regardless. It's an interesting thing to Think about, in my opinion.

It's really funny and really sad at the same time. It's funny for how backwards and insane it is, and sad because there are people who are so beaten down by life that they actually believe it's a good idea

I guess it can be a healthy mindset for many.. lets be real, a lot of people will never get the option to concieve children so being against having children from te start saves them from a lot of mental distress
