Today the Otaku Slave Market has been created,
feel free to join if you are 18+, but keep it civil and
respect the rules. For a while it will stay a public
group everyone can join.

It is just a virtual meeting point for people who
are into the spectrum of interests.

Edit : Well for some reason, STEAM does not tolerate Otaku Groups that are also focussing on BDSM and Cosplay/Roleplay. Unlike certain obviously paedofiliac Groups, which seem to be still okay to exist, and ofc the fanatical religious Stalker Army does obviously also not have a problem with those to exist. They are all just happy now, that they have found someone responsible for a group for game playing Otaku BDSM Cosplayer/Roleplayers, without having even to use the search function or leaving the forums, means their virtual sofa, where they are obviously organising their coordinated stalker attack sit ins.

For me, it taught me one thing, yea I reflected "a lot" about it, and I have to say, that I am sorry, very sorry, absolutely sorry, that I still do not care about anyone's opinion about my personality regarding the fact that I do not hide my openmindedness.

To all the people, who like to watch Animes with this element, like Rise of the Shield Hero, How to NOT summon a Demon Lord, Harem in the Labyrinth of another World, and many others (actually Slave Markets are almost a fundamental element of modern Isekai Animes) make sure to keep your eyes open, the Otaku Slave Market will be back in service very soon. Thanks for your attention, and btw. I already disabled the subscription a while ago, so have fun trying to further shame me for being not a nun or priest, oh wait, actually nuns do torture little girls, and priests do torture little boys, so well, I am glad I am non of those.

It's very vague in general but I believe backseat moderation means "roleplaying" as a moderator on the forums. Merely pointing out that someone is advertising is still many steps away from that.

I have very mixed feelings with this. Even though there are factors on various sides, I think this is not the best way to advertise your group.

This might have been a good idea, since the players of such games might have been more familiar with the "topic" and its "contents". Maybe games which are related to BDSM, might have been a choice too.

Well said. Well... almost. I am certain that there are plenty of people in this group, who are capable to tell the difference between fantasy&reality, and have various selection of their own preferences, BDSM sub/dom preferences is not something that is commonly accepted and felt... healthy in ones needs and preferences, thus it will face high opposition and stigmatizing (like Kiddiecat said).

There are other factors too but I will cut my jabbering here. As a sort of conclusion, making a thread about advertising ones such group in OT, may not be the best approach in achieving your goals. But I believe you can try other ways now.

It is because there are many games, and I will add them as soon as people talk about them.
I did not want to create a group for a specific game, I wanted to create a group for specific interests, and that includes games that fit in a generalised way.

If you want you can create a group for a specific game yourself or you can just join and suggest a game for me to add to the list. Thank you.

And about the discrimination against people with a liberated approach to their sexuality, it is always a long way to go, but not hiding is the first step to gain acceptance, right ?

No I am absolutely not telling anyone to go hiding. And there is no argument there that there might not be people in here who would be interested in such sexual behavior. Personally I wouldn't consider STEAM, as it is stated mainly "video game digital distribution service", the best source for finding such people. Since there are plenty of other choices too, that are made to serve such interests.

What comes to acceptance... well, yelling and telling out loud is way, but not always the best way. At least not in everywhere.

I use Steam only for games and games only. In real life... that's another topic.
