Also, quite a few men will say that as well.
Meh... Whenever I hear someone being condescending like in OP's example, I just shrug my shoulders and reply Yeah... whatever, and I bet you collect shoes pfph 🙄.
This HAS to be an opinion from an old person...
Like nowadays is more common for girls to play videogames after childhood, we are still less common than males in videogames but nothing to do with 30/40 years ago, I wonder why ppl back then saw it as something bad...
But I can understand why some girls do not want to talk about it... Or in some cases act like they do not like them at all...
From my experience it was either getting bullied for liking videogames (specially Pokémon) or some boys being TOO obssesed over me because they never saw a girl playing games in their life...
So yeah, you would not feel comfortable on that scenario would you?
While that type of thinking is less common is still here but I am so glad this is changing nowadays ,I even feel jealous of todays ppl in high school and school... They can comfortably speak about videogames without being considered weird and also bullying getting more severly punished nowadays...
Build model trains? Eye roll.
Collect pop culture memorabilia? Eye roll.
Like particular movies or TV shows? Eye roll.
And so on.
You need to find a better class of women or someone that is into the same things you are.
Have you tried asking any others?
So, you should hide the fact that you enjoy games and then that's supposed to be someone you love who also loves you? Someone you'll spend the rest of your life with? Nonsense. Why even bother? Just find someone else.
I would especially say this and all other things that not everyone wants to hear, just to filter out the fake "social" media idiots who live in a fairy tale. For example, I hate gyms, I would much rather do something like hiking together, because that's actually "healthy life" that they brag about on "social" media and actual fun exercise, not rotting in some stinky filthy gym full of bacteria with no traces of fresh air, doing the worst kind of stupid chores.
If someone has a problem with that and thinks I need to "HIT THE GYM BRO" for some "SELF-IMPROVEMENT" or whatever "motivaitonal" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they hear from their "influencers", ♥♥♥♥ them and ♥♥♥♥ all that nonsense. I'll always be myself (after all, you can only pretend to be someone else for so long and then what?), if anyone has a problem with that, well ♥♥♥♥, find someone else, but I won't change what I do or don't enjoy just because someone wants to live in a stupid image of "perfection" from degenerates on "social" media.
The kind of women your describing must be the same kind who believe that buying 76041268 pair of shoes is an acceptable hobby.
In your case I will translate the women you've asked about it : "How mens dare spend more time with their games than with me ? Are their stupid games better than me ? Are they gay ?".
"Oh I'm a model!"
"Oh wow really? Who for?"
"Just like, on Instagram..."
"Oh right OK, well I'm in the military."
"Oh have you gone overseas?"
"Yeah I've done all the maps on call of duty."
