I'm in shock, that even when Steam have policy of "no discrimination or offensive content", here is allowed symbol Hammer and sickle ☭ . This is hate symbol too, because communists regimes who used / using this symbol, brutally murdered millions people and they keep murdering.

Or here are allowed avatars like Stalin, Mao and other mass murderers. Why this is not banned?

The hammer and sickle should be treated the same way as the nazi swastika.

It is an oppressive symbol from an oppressive regime that has killed hundreds of millions of innocent people worldwide every time communism is "tried".

people kill each other all the time, it doesn't matter if it's for a swastika, stars, an animal or two yellow objects crossed on a red flag. Even the star-spangled banner has blood on it, the union jack does too and so on.

by that logic, everything is a hate object, just so long as it's affiliated with in some way to evil acts. But the thing with good and evil, it's a concept, it isn't a defined thing others can draw from, as what is considered okay to one is reprehensible to another (like trash vs. treasure, if you want a more simple example).
