"Ad Blockers are not allowed on Youtube" nonsense
If anyone got this message on youtube, you can ignore it completely. I bet they'll eventually force you to disable your adblocker, but it's not being enforced yet.

Just get away from any chome based of google coded browsers.

Firefox works flawlessly at blocking ads on YT still with ublock origin and any number of other adblockers.

Google needs to F-Off and die with its garbage ads. :SafeForWork:

For those people can purge all caches then click "update now," in uBlock origin.

Worked for me a while back and haven't gotten the pop up since.

Also don't stack adblockers because it triggers lots.

you probably have some other addon on your browser that has the ability to block ads and yt picks it up. i had to whitelist the site to both adblockers and malwarebytes and enhancer addon.
but i won't uninstall them they keep the rest of the web clean for me.

For how much longer though? Ublock origin doesn't do anything to Twitch, even on Firefox. I don't see why the same issue can't arise with Youtube.

I still Trust Firefox with extentions to deal with it. With Firefox (based browsers) I can even fast forward replay TV on all the channels where that is not allowed bypassing the TV DRM completely.

From what I heard people who aren't logged in don't get the message, so that's probably why.
So I suppose that's one way around this anti-adblocker ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. That or regularly purging the caches
I also tend to use private browsing when using youtube, so that may also be part of the reason.

Funnily enough, I actually have Youtube Premium on my phone, I just done feel like logging in when on my desktop, so I use adblocking to avoid being bothered. Perhaps I should get a Pihole just to be sure no ads are allowed at home.

I can't use it anymore with adblock. You only get to watch so many videos and then it stops you.

I'm using AdGuard and Kaspersky extensions on Edge, plus Kaspersky's running blockers directly from my laptop. Haven't gotten any warnings regardless of whether I'm logged in, logged in with an account, or logged out.

Try Adnauseam extension or a good ol Raspberry Pi network based / router based anti-ad measures.
Also Librewolf is a FOSS firefox fork focused around privacy, security and anti-ads / anti tracking ads.

Strage... my clients, such as NewPipe and Invidious, don't give me that message.

Darn it. It happen again. I made sure to clear all of cache and yet it somehow pops up. So I decide to copy and paste from reddit.

Turns out it has Enhancer for youtube. You have to tick it off and see how it goes.

Well, at first, not logging into YouTube and using the Brave browser was working; sadly, now it's starting to give me popup warnings again. I've even cleared my cookies or whatever, and it doesn't matter. So, it's about time that I will have to watch stuff elsewhere; oh well.

Nothing else I could to fix on my own. So I have to wait some other options from reddit. If not, then Firefox.

Eventually i expect Alphabet to stop trying to play subtle in dancing around the bush and eventually go after the damned bush directly with a chainsaw. They aren't going to wait forever to try stamp out adblockers, it's a matter of when, not if it happens.

Don't be so sure Firefox is a haven from what Alphabet are trying to do to Youtube, it is their website and how they code it after all and if Alphabet had a mind to go draconian about it, there isn't a lot we can do about it ultimately, especially when they hard code the adverts into the site itself and any attempt at disabling the adverts means the site is bricked for you no matter, so any adblocker and browser is useless and any attempt to use a script to bypass the adverts will not work because it breaks the hard-coding of the site in order and you are stuck with a partially loaded site as to where it broke.

I've long had a hatred for Alphabet, their google and youtube services and how they ultimately operate and keep your private data, as well as breach protection laws with your data, which has happened before. But you wanted to support them either directly or mindlessly, just in the same way with Microsoft.

No tough competition to change the market away from a path like this because everyone supports the monopoly, what else would you expect?
