Water is tasteless and colorless. The only water that has a taste is the brown water that comes out of a tap after working on the water line.

I taste the plastic in the bottled water.. after a while you get used to it
Good spring water has its own taste. Different springs actually can taste slightly different.
Tap water either has chlorine or fluoride in it.

Bottled spring water will take on the plastic taste. Spring water in glass is better but most of that isn't particularly good or bad.

It has to be purified water. Spring water and tap water tastes horrible.

I can still taste it. Use it for cooking as the chlorine boils off, fluoride won't. Glad the tap water up here is chlorine.

Purified water has little to no taste.

What you mostly taste in water is the metals and mineral compositions in it. That could be a good or bad sign of the quality water.

For humans it's tasteless but many mammals have specific water receptors so for them id does taste.

What if it initially had super nice taste, but after cycling through soil for million of years and through so many animals and dead bodies, it has become tasteless?. : P
