I am a gamer yet I don't mind a good political discussion. This is the Off Topic board where that can and should happen.

Last time I checked you don't have to enter political topics.

I mean, you might as well complain that Stalker 2 somehow "imposes its politics" on you. When every other game is being accused of being possibly "woke", it's kinda hard to take the argument seriously, since the accusation comes BEFORE any actual evidence of it.

Meaning there's just people LOOKING to be outraged. They don't make the thread or ask the question because they genuinely worry or concerned, but rather, WANT to be outraged, and if the game ISN'T "woke", they'll find SOMETHING to complain about so that they CAN justify accusing it of being "woke".

Like any typical ragebait, they're not really interested if the game ISN'T woke, because then they can't ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan about it. I'm currently playing Radiophobia 3, which is an overhaul mod of the original STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. The LAST thing on my mind is whether any of the characters in the game are "woke".

Reminds me of all the so-called "gaming journalists" for some of the big gaming magazines/media outlets were accusing Kingdom Come devs of being racist because they didn't have any "visible minorities" in early 1400's Czech Republic.

Keep in mind this game is intended to be so historically accurate, they actually went to castles of the time and place of the game's setting, and took measurements to rebuild them in 3D for the game.

Everytime I see: girlboss, evil white male, mixed-race child, interracial couple, trans person, non-binary person, etc... (a.k.a. "the message") I just roll my eyes. Then usually turn it off.

It's been ten years of this. None of which is necessary to tell a good story.

And it's not that any of this stuff I mentioned is bad. It's just excessive.
