Do you think Astro Bot deserved GOTY?
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually think it does. The game is just pure fun, and there is a charming feeling of both innocence and nostalgia about it that reminds me of how gaming used to feel as a kid. The game would just bring a smile to my face when playing it.

Beyond that, the platform puzzles are just really fun, the game performs impeccably, and the game feel is off that charts. I haven't seen many games outside of the best Mario titles that perform that well.

I know Wukong is the fan favorite, but how do you guys feel about Astro Bot, assuming you own a PS?

I didn't play it.

I thought GOTY should be Space Marine II because I played it.

I don't even know what it is...

but I mean, it's not really new to me that "popular things" suck... I remember before the internet people used to go on about the "top music hits"...

and I'd just be like "who the **** voted for this garbage?!?!"

whoever is voting on these things that are "best" evidently do not share my opinions on what's "good".

I find it funny how a toddler's game won not only GOTY, but numerous other rewards.

Whats that
Yes, I loved the game when I played it. It oozed soul.

Do I think it deserves an absolutely meaningless award as a marketing stunt? Sure, why not.

I don't see why not. It was a well crafted game that served as a celebration of both playstation and gaming.

Hopefully it winning leads to a small renaissance of platformers. And cheaper games that dont always have billions put into them.
It's about time someone reminded indies why they're the little guys.

do i think it deserved GOTY? No.
is it a good game? Yes
Never heard of it.

If it's not on PC, it probably doesn't deserve GOTY.

I played it, although I prefer wukong, astrobot is also a solid pick.

I'm agreeing with everyone saying that Astrobot is a good game. But when you look at the sales and amount of people playing it should have been Wukong.
