Consoles were build for their ability to play games without an internet connection. A DDoS attack doesn't matter when it comes to playing a good old single player game.
Sony and Microsoft just decided on going the backward ass way when it came to making their "Next Gen" consoles.

After PS3 dropping PS2 backwards support, and Xbone forcing people to buy their spybot... I mean Kinect... And nintendo going all healthnut hyper spaz with the forced motion contro... I gave up on the whole console thing... Well that and consoles don't have mod support, or big sales like steam, or the mentioned backwards compatibility, or free multiplayer... Wow... Why do people still get consoles anyway? About all they have that most PC games don't is in person co-op/split screen.

Wasn't that bad, short and lost a lot of it's usual charm fast, but it was a fun game to play to kill time
